Hyundai Announces Pricing for 2010 Tucson

Hyundai  has announced prices for its all-new Tucson CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle), starting at $18,995 for a well-equipped GLS six-speed, manual-transmission model and $24,345 for the top-of-the-line Limited model. The all-new Tucson arrives at dealerships this month.

“The 2010 Tucson truly delivers unprecedented value by raising the bar on performance, fuel economy and design while maintaining a very affordable price,” said John Krafcik, president and CEO, Hyundai Motor America. “For 2010, the most popular Tucson offers 26 percent more horsepower, about 20 percent better combined fuel economy, standard six-speed transmission and the list goes on – all at the same price point as the previous generation Tucson.” [...]

Hyundai Set to Launch New Mid-Size Sedan

Hyundai Motor Company is preparing to unveil its all-new mid-sized sedan, codenamed YF, ahead of the car’s official launch on Sept 10th in the Korean domestic market.

BLUE-WILL Concept Car By Hyundai

Hyundai has revealed the first pictures of an innovative plug-in hybrid concept car. Due to be revealed at the Seoul Motor Show which opens on April 2nd, the “BLUE-WILL”, has exceptionally advanced technology crammed inside its striking bodyshell.

Recycled PET soft drink bottles were used to make the material for the headlamp bezels while use has also been made of bio-plastics: PLA for the interior while PA11 was specified for the engine cover. Hyundai’s New Luxury Sedan – The EQUUS

After ten years in the marketplace, the Hyundai’s flagship sedan EQUUS would be retired and replaced by a new EQUUS, an import fighter that would need to compete on an equal footing with the most storied names in the luxury car business. Much had changed in the interim requiring a rethinking of the basic assumptions. It started with the adoption of a front engine, rear wheel drive architecture, the luxury segment’s de facto standard, to achieve the ideal 52:48 front-rear weight distribution needed to achieve optimal ride and handling characteristics.

From design to execution, absolute excellence would be required on all levels if the new EQUUS was to meet the needs and wants of the target customers, a highly demanding group of top income earners, male executives or entrepreneurs in their 40s and 50s for whom cars serve as an expression of status. A majority of Korean luxury car customers had defected to Japanese and German luxury marques over the years, and winning back their trust in Hyundai posed the ultimate test of the new EQUUS. Hyundai today debuts an R-Spec version of the all-new 2010 Genesis Coupe, designed to appeal to true enthusiasts who want a low starting price and the ability to tune their car to their own specifications. R-Spec will be available as a mid-2010 model year introduction.

Hyundai Genesis Named 2009 Cars.com New Car of the Year

The cars have been driven, votes have been tallied and the Cars.com editors have spoken: The Hyundai Genesis outshines all other new and redesigned models in 2009 and has been named the Cars.com New Car of the Year.

To choose the Cars.com New Car of the Year, the site’s expert reviewers drove and tested all the newly introduced and redesigned models for 2009. From that pool of about 60 cars, they chose their favorites based on features, driving quality, mileage and overall value.
