Mercedes Benz Vito Motability Vehicle Review

Mercedes Benz Vito

If you’re after a reliable and good lick Motability people carrier, then the likes of the Renault Trafic, Renault Master, and Volkswagen Transporter likely appeal to you. But what if you want something a little more premium and special in general?

Enter the Mercedes-Benz Vito, a premium people carrier that promises to transport you and your family/friends in style.

From the outside the Vito is really rather good looking. Whatever trim you go for it benefits from alloy wheels and a welcoming face, with sleek lines throughout the body work. It’s fair to say that this is no Alfa Romeo 4C, but nether-the-less it looks nice and sporty and stands out among the competition mentioned above.

To top that off, there’s a range of excellent engines to choose from.

Most buyers will opt for the 2.1-litre turbo diesel engine in 95PS form, but there’s also a 136PS and 163PS version available. Interestingly, there’s even a 3.0-litre V6 engine that produces 224PS. Power, then, isn’t an issue.

Seating also isn’t an issue for the Vito. There’s seating for up to six people and the rear is exceptionally spacious, with lighting throughout and plenty of room for even the tallest of legs. The rear seats are also very comfortable and there’s plenty of padding for longer journeys. If you want even more seating, then the Traveliner Minibus version will suit you well – this version can seat up to nine people.

Since being launched in 1995 the Vito has been continuously updated to keep it up to date. The latest version, as you’d expect, is the best. Not only is it more spacious than ever before but the technology on offer is impressive to say the least. Each Vito van comes equipped with cruise control, steering wheel controls, and Bluetooth for hands free speaking.

If you opt for the right specification you even get dual-zone climate control.

The Mercedes-Benz Vito is available with Bristol Street Versa’s Mercedes Motability.

The Mercedes-Benz Vito is one of the finest people carriers money can buy. The quality is exceptional and in true Mercedes style the Vito is very comfortable to drive and be a passenger in. The 6 seater version will suit most people, but the Traveliner Minubus is just as agile with the addition of three extra seats. If you have a large family or if you’re planning to take a group of friends out, then this version will serve you extremely well.

The Renault Trafic might be cheaper, but if quality is what you’re looking for in a Motability van, the Mercedes-Benz Vito is hard not to recommend. Buyers might want to check out the VW Transporter though.
