Nissan announced that it will unveil the new, redesigned 2011 Nissan Rogue crossover SUV on Saturday, July 31st at the 23rd Annual International Z Car Convention in Nashville. The popular Nissan Rogue gets an upgraded look inside and out – including exterior, interior, comfort and convenience, and audio and entertainment system enhancements. Model names and options are also revised, helping keep Rogue fresh and exciting for its active lifestyle buyers. The 2011 Rogue is now offered in two trim levels, S and SV, along with the sporty Rogue S Krom Edition. Rogue is scheduled to go on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide beginning August 13th.
“It seems appropriate to debut the new Rogue among this important gathering of Z enthusiasts, since Rogue shares many of the original Z’s core values – exciting styling, excellent value and a fun-to-drive spirit,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, NNA. ”The Rogue S Krom Edition, with its more aggressive styling, sport-tuned exhaust and 18-inch wheels and tires, also fits right in among the many unique and modified Z cars appearing at the convention.” [...]

Posted on 20. Jul, 2010 by admin.
The all-new 2011 version of Kia’s venerable Sportage CUV takes its design “Kue” from the concept vehicle of the same name that was shown during the 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. 2011 Ford Explorer Gets 30 Percent Efficiency Gain Over Current V-6
Posted on 20. Jul, 2010 by admin.
The Ford Explorer has been reinvented to shatter long-held myths about SUV fuel efficiency and performance. The 2011 model equipped with an optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine will be the new class leader in the mid-size SUV segment, achieving at least a 30 percent increase in fuel efficiency compared with the current V-6-powered Explorer.
“The all-new Explorer will give a huge universe of existing and prospective customers the capability they expect and the luxury and convenience they want, all combined with the fuel economy they need,” said Mark Fields, Ford president of The Americas.
The new Explorer, due in Ford showrooms later this year, has added comfort and convenience features, while overall vehicle weight is reduced compared to the previous model. Extensive use of lighter and stronger high-strength steels such as boron add durability while saving weight. An aluminum hood is used, while a one-piece composite front bolster – the radiator support between engine and grille – is 65 percent lighter. Lighter weight equates to fuel and money saved. [...]

2011 Audi Q7 Get Several Updates
Posted on 14. Apr, 2010 by admin.
The Q7 is the large Audi for the sporty individualist – the high-performance SUV for sport, leisure, family and business. Now Audi has made it even more powerful and efficient, with a choice of three new V6 engines and an 8-speed tiptronic transmission.
Even more power, even higher efficiency: Audi has revised the engine lineup for the Q7. The two gasoline engines, both V6 units but with different power outputs, are new, and so is the second-generation V6 TDI. A mighty V8 diesel completes the range. All the engines for the Q7 combine two technologies: forced induction and direct fuel injection. A high-performance recuperation system that recovers energy during braking is also a standard item with all six- and eight-cylinder engines.
The new 3.0 TFSI gasoline engine embodies Audi’s downsizing strategy: replacing engine displacement with supercharging. Within the 90-degree angle formed by its cylinder blocks there is an engine-driven supercharger that compresses the intake air. Two charge-air intercoolers prevent the air temperature from rising, so that the engine draws in more oxygen for the combustion process. Vigorous thrust and spontaneous throttle response make the 3.0 TFSI engine, with its sonorous note, an ideal source of power for the large high-performance SUV from Audi. [...]
