Chrysler Teases 2013 Dodge Dart Interior

Chrysler has released additional teaser shots of the all-new 2013 Dodge Dart, this time providing a peek at the cockpit. The 2013 Dart will be unveiled at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show in January and goes into production in the first half.

Chrysler designers focused on creating a modern blend of precision craftsmanship, state-of-the-art technology, exciting bursts of color and hand-sculpted shapes when designing the Dart’s interior, which is made with materials and technology typically found in more expensive vehicle segments. Acura to Debut Three New Cars at 2012 NAIAS

Acura announced today that it will unveil three all-new vehicles at the 2012 North American International Auto Show including an all-new compact sports sedan, a redesigned RDX crossover sport utility vehicle, and a concept version of the next generation Acura NSX super car.

The Acura ILX Concept is a styling study of an all-new luxury compact sedan scheduled for launch in spring 2012. To be positioned at the gateway to the Acura lineup, the ILX will feature three powertrains including Acura’s first-ever gas-electric hybrid. Acura also will unveil a prototype of the 2013 RDX, the second generation of Acura’s five-passenger SUV.  Finally, Acura will debut the NSX Concept, which represents the styling direction for the next generation of Acura’s super sports car. 2013 Cadillac XTS: Advanced Tech Systems Enhance Vision

Using a technique it calls control and alert, Cadillac will debut a network of cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors on the all-new 2013 XTS to boost driver vision and awareness of road hazards and intervene to help avert potential accidents.

Occasionally, Cadillac’s improved vision and sensing systems will act without the driver, such as though automatic braking depending on information indicating potential obstacles.

The new XTS contains several features using visual and audible alerts designed to recognize potential threats with sufficient warning for the driver to react and make changes. An example is the Safety Alert Seat feature, which vibrates either the left or right side of the driver’s seat cushion depending on the location of the impending concern. Intervening features, such as automatic braking, take action automatically if the driver is slow to initially react. Continue Reading →
