With the arrival of the new generation of Ford Mondeo just around the corner, the U.S. firm has renovated the four-door variant of the Ford Focus. The new Ford Focus Sedan has been officially presented at the Hall of New York.
After presenting at the last Geneva Motor the renovated Ford Focus, one month later, Ford is back to present the corresponding ‘restyling’ of a four-door sedan version of the compact. How could it be otherwise? LED technology is also a novelty in the headlights of the new Focus sedan.
Inside, we find a 8-inch screen, from where you can access the latest version of the 2-1 Sync system for information as well as the entertainment equipment. In fact, the technology will be one of the keys for the new range of Ford Focus, also present in the sedan version and incorporating a wide range of driving aids such as adaptive cruise control, automatic parking aid, braking city emergency, bi-xenon headlights and much more.
As far as engines are concerned, one could not miss the three-cylinder recognized as the EcoBoost petrol engines. There are variants of 100 and 125 hp for the drive displacement of 1.0 liter and 150 and 180 hp for the 1.5 EcoBoost. In Diesel, the options are the mechanical 1.5 TDCI 120 CV of 95 hp as expected, and the 2.0 TDCI of 150 CV. The renovation also hit the chassis and suspension, offering better feel while driving.
Pending the arrival of the new Ford Mondeo, the Focus Sedan becomes the latest saloon variant renewed by the U.S. manufacturer. This four-door version of the Focus is receiving many compliments and great reviews so far. What’s also been very positive is that its success is already also reaching the UK with ford dealers in the UK impatiently expecting the new model after it was announced. We expect that the five-door Focus and Sportbreak wagon, and in the future even Focus ST, will also go through the ‘car wash ‘ and be renewed before the end of the year.
